What a year it has been for our volunteer and networks workstream. Today we look at some of the memorable highlights from 2023 with a sneaky peek at what’s in store in 2024.
BANT has an amazing workforce of 125 talented volunteers enabling much of the work we do for members and the profession. They truly are what makes BANT so special, and we are grateful to each and every one of you for your contributions. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to reconnect at this summer’s VOTY awards and spend an afternoon in each other’s company, with those of you who were able to join us. Our volunteer community is stronger than ever.
Our networks are also thriving, and we are thrilled to have 28 new and rebooted local networks, and 6 country networks helping to unite BANT members in all parts of the world. Many members working in clinical practice often report feeling isolated. Joining a local or country networks is a great way to build your community and network with fellow NTs. If you’re a student, we have a network for you too. The Student Network Team is here to offer support to students studying for a Nutritional Therapy Qualification, creating a two-way channel for dialogue, delivering a dedicated news channel for students, and bringing students together for tea sessions on key topics of value to their learning journey. It is amazing what can be accomplished when our BANT regional events team come together to deliver 3 knock-out events! 2023 has truly been a masterclass. They have delivered high-quality CPD events with leading speakers, bonus content, goody bags, special sessions, and more. BANT events are tailored to clinical practitioners providing insights and applications for 1-2-1 client work to support BANT members in practice. Content is available on demand within the learning zone in your practitioner portal.

Our volunteer team also extends to our event hosts at the industry events that BANT attends throughout the year. These volunteers are at the fore of representing our profession and showcasing our membership of 3500 members. Thank you all.
