The indexing team are a diverse group of Nutrition Practitioners with a passion for science.  Skilled in critical appraisal, they read and appraise the latest scientific nutrition articles, categorise them according to functional medicine parameters and distil them into plain language summaries for easy access to complicated science.  These enhanced articles are then made available on the Nutrition Evidence database.  Each month sees a new indexing subject focus, enabling the indexers to take a deep dive into a topic, building their knowledge and positioning themselves within complex debates.  Their work raises the profile of BANT Nutrition Practitioners’ adherence to evidence based practice and enriches Nutrition Evidence as a key platform to access nutrition science.

If you have been trained in critical appraisal and are interested in joining the BANT indexing team, please get in touch with the Centre of Excellence Manager Clare Grundel at [email protected].  Each article can be logged as self-directed CPD and BANT will pay you £10 per paper indexed.
