BANT presents a one-day virtual event on Diabetes & Blood Sugar Dysregulation delivered by expert speakers working in the field of managing and reversing Type 2 Diabetes and supporting clients with Type 1 Diabetes.

Dr Ruth Tapsell
Dr Ruth Tapsell is a practicing GP and strong advocate for using nutrition and lifestyle interventions to improve health outcomes. Ruth and her team apply the work of Dr David Unwin with results including remission from type 2 diabetes, and improvement of other chronic health conditions. During the pandemic Ruth acted on her passion for sharing and education by running a series of free webinars entitled “Rethinking Diabetes” to promote the adoption of the Real Food Lower Carbohydrate approach.

Kirsty Baxter
Kirsty is a BANT Registered Nutrition Practitioner and Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) member specialising in metabolic health, including diabetes, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome and weight loss. Kirsty works in collaboration with a wide range of medical professionals, including GPs, and frequently delivers presentations on metabolic health to support awareness around the value of nutrition and lifestyle medicine approaches for metabolic conditions.

Beth Edwards
Beth Edwards is a BANT Registered Nutritional Therapist, health writer and expert with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) management. She has a background in health psychology (MSc) and academic health experiences research, so she draws upon pragmatic and evidence-based nutrition advice. Beth predominantly works 1:1 with adults, children and families and also offers corporate wellness talks and brand consultancy within the wellness space and beyond.
