So, this will be a short and sweet bulletin focusing on one future event and one from the recent past, and finishing off with an Easter treat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IHCAN Conference on \u2018Inflammation and Antioxidants\u2019\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The upcoming IHCAN Conference (formerly CAM Conference), \u2018Inflammation and Antioxidants\u2019 is taking place on 22 April 2017 at Cavendish Conference Centre, London.<\/p>\n<p>Two world-renowned experts will take the stage throughout the day &#8211; Dr Thomas Levy, MD, JD, and Professor Stig Bengmark, MD, PhD. \u00a0Dr Levy will present\u00a0<strong>\u2018The Cause of All Disease: A Unified Theory\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>\u2018Vitamin C and Infection: The Ultimate Antibiotic\u2019<\/strong>, while Professor Bengmark will present\u00a0<strong>\u2018Choosing Health \u2013 Honour your intestinal microflora, so that you may live long\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>Parts I &amp; II<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The conference will be accredited 4.5 CPD hours from BANT, and all attendees will receive a goody bag and a free, three course gluten-free buffet lunch, as well as refreshments throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>To find out more and book head to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ihcanconferences.co.uk\/april-2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.ihcanconferences.co.uk\/april-2017<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Making the most of your BANT Student Membership\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Did you miss last week\u2019s webinar? It\u2019s packed full of almonds that are chock full of the antioxidant vitamin E.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 cups Medjool dates<\/p>\n<p>2 cups almonds<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup almond butter<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup coconut oil<\/p>\n<p>1 cup cacao powder<\/p>\n<p>1 cup sultanas<\/p>\n<p>6 oatcakes (dry oat biscuits)<\/p>\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1) \u00a0Pitt the dates and add them them to a saucepan with 1\/4 cup of water, bring to the boil and reduce to a simmer for 3-5 minutes until the dates are soft. Drain the water and add the dates into the blender.<\/p>\n<p>2) \u00a0Melt the coconut oil and add it to the blender with the almond butter and cacao. Blend up until a smooth mixture.
