It is a requirement within the NHS that practitioners who wish to work with some specific health concerns, where there is typically a need to work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and\/or there is a heightened risk of doing harm, would need additional post-graduation Level 6 training in their chosen field to do so. Find more information about this on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhsemployers.org\/articles\/advanced-practice-and-enhanced-practice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To support this type of collaboration and recognition of BANT Practitioners with enhanced training, BANT has updated the guidelines in BANT Professional Practice Handbook for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bant.org.uk\/bant-professional-practice-handbook\/specific-conditions\/#cancer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cancer<\/a>, and will also do so for eating disorders and mental health later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements to be able to work with clients with these health challenges, and to be able to list any of these\u00a0<strong>Health Concerns in the BANT Practitioner Search<\/strong>, in this case cancer, are detailed below.<\/p>\n<p>There will be an option to meet these requirements through additional training courses as well as an option for practitioners who are already experienced in working with cancer clients and have gained this expertise over several years in practise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/preview.mailerlite.io\/preview\/166788\/emails\/93397040579479216\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to access the full eblast.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BANT recognises the need to support BANT Practitioners in their quest to work with the wider healthcare community.
