This year we planned to hold our now bi-annual Volunteers of the Year (VOTY) Awards at a new Central Birmingham venue.\u00a0 This would allow a wider group of volunteers to attend, due to convenient transport links across the UK.\u00a0 We are very disappointed to have had to postpone this event until next year due to COVID-19 and the uncertainty around what restrictions may still be in place for larger gatherings come Summer. \u00a0But rest assured, our central England VOTY WILL go ahead as planned in 2022.\u00a0 It will be a wonderful opportunity to bring our volunteer community together after a difficult and particularly isolating period for everyone and BANT is excited and looking forward to the prospect.<\/p>\n
Of course, despite COVID-19, BANT recognises the importance of acknowledging and thanking our volunteers in 2021 for the enormous contributions they continue to make to BANT and our profession.\u00a0 With that in mind, we will be presenting this year\u2019s Volunteers of the Year Awards again at the online BANT AGM and Conference on Saturday 22nd<\/sup> May.<\/p>\n
