Yesterday the government retrospectively agreed on the law and details for this current lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>Following the November 2020 lockdown, CNHC obtained legal advice on behalf of its registrants and confirmed that CNHC Registrants in England meet the definition of\u00a0 \u201cother\u2026health services, including services relating to mental health\u201d contained in Section 17(o), <a href=\"https:\/\/chnc.us17.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=3692f99d3dab3abfc11bd1971&amp;id=bec78c5cff&amp;e=e6a7a269a6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Schedule 3A<\/a>\u00a0of The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020. The amended legislation on which Parliament voted yesterday made no changes to that section of the Regulations.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0means, as a CNHC Registrant, you can continue to practise in England during the current restrictions if you meet the criteria set out below.<\/p>\n<p>To stay within the remit of providing \u201cother\u2026health services, including services relating to mental health\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must only provide the therapies you are registered for, on a one-to-one basis to clients, for an identified mental or physical health condition or injury\u00a0that\u00a0is\u00a0causing them pain or having an adverse impact on their mobility or their quality of life.<\/li>\n<li>You must be able to evidence that your\u00a0therapeutic intervention is supporting your client with their condition. You can do this by recording their health condition and giving a clear rationale\u00a0in your client\u2019s care record\u00a0for the treatment that you are providing,<\/li>\n<li>You cannot provide treatment to a client in their own home unless you have received a direct referral from statutorily regulated health professional.<\/li>\n<li>If your practice is based in your own home, you can continue to work from there as long as it is COVID-secure.
