She was sent to a national hockey camp for future England field hockey players. There she was given a diet sheet outlining what she should and shouldn't be eating. Although this sparked her interest in food and nutrition it took her right up until her mid-20's whilst in a senior role at an IT company and playing hockey at national league level to reignite the sparks. Jenny got injured and rethought her purpose. That's when she decided to study for another degree, this time in nutrition.
\nJenny graduated in 2009. It had taken 6 years to complete a 4-year course and that's because she now had 2 children in tow. The food Jenny gave her children was her original inspiration for setting up a business in nutrition education. Added to this are her experiences in the world of business and sport. Additionally, specific to sport, he is the founder of the Centre for Integrative Sports Nutrition and its accredited practitioner course, the Certificate of Integrative Sports Nutrition, plus he is the editor of UK magazine Functional Sports Nutrition.
\nAs co-founder of the Nutritional Institute, Ian is a nutritional therapy practitioner, based in Johannesburg. His client base ranges from chronic health cases, such as autoimmunity, through recreational and elite athletes, to sports and lifestyle induced low-grade chronic fatigue syndrome.
\nHe gained his BSc in Physiology & Sports Science from the University of Glasgow in his native Scotland, his MSc in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his BSc in Nutritional Therapy at the Centre for Nutrition Education, validated by Middlesex University in London. Ian is a professional member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
