Special Interests

Disordered Eating - I specialise in supporting women overcome food relationship disorders, which covers a range of concerns including chronic dieting, weight issues, obesity, emotional eating, disordered eating and eating disorders. I’ve trained with the National Centre for Eating Disorders and the Centre for Research on Eating Disorders at the University of Oxford, two leading institutes in this field. This enables me to provide a specialist and personalised approach, which combines nutritional, behavioural and psychological interventions.

I'm a Nutrition and Functional Medicine practitioner with a special interest in supporting women with Food Relationship Disorders. I have completed the following specialist qualifications with the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED), all of which are approved by the British Psychological Society; • NCFED: Master Practitioner Eating Disorders and Obesity • NCFED: Nutritional Interventions for Eating Disorders • NCFED: Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders (Psychological Approach for Eating Behaviour and Weight Management) • NCFED: Practitioner Skills in Obesity Management I have also completed specialist training with the Centre for Research on Eating Disorders at the University of Oxford: • Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E)* *CBT-E has been shown to be effective in the treatment of all forms of eating disorders. It is strongly endorsed by the new NICE guidelines (NICE, 2017). I have completed advance training with the Institute for Functional Medicine, which enables me to practice a functional medicine approach. Functional medicine nutrition determines the root cause of illness, the how and why you developed ill health, and then uses nutritional and lifestyle changes to directly address these to restore health.
