Online Membership Application Portal


Online applications are only applicable for the following membership applications: Student Membership, Student to Full Membership Upgrade (Practising or Non-Practising), Full Membership Applications (Practising, Non-Practising, Non-Practising RTP).

Any other type of membership application will need to be made manually – these include applications for Associate Membership and Provisional Membership.

Before you start to complete your online application, please check that you meet the membership criteria.  See below for the requirements for each membership category:

  • Student Members must be studying on an NTEC accredited training course. Click here for a list of accredited courses.
  • Full Members must have qualified on an NTEC accredited course which is, as such, recognised by CNHC, as CNHC membership is compulsory for Full Members of BANT. Click here to see the CNHC Route Guide – if your course is designated FT [Fast Track], you may proceed to apply online.  If your course is designated EFP [External Full Portfolio] you will need to apply manually via the Provisional Membership route.

Please see below a checklist of the information and documents that will be required in order to submit your application.

**Note that you will not be able to complete your application without the required documents**

Students:

  • Name of Training Provider
  • Name of Course
  • Estimated Graduation Date
  • Evidence of training (in the form of either a letter from your training provider or a copy of your student membership card – PDF version only)

Full Membership:

  • PDF of your Nutritional Therapy qualification
  • PDF of your current professional indemnity insurance policy for your nutritional therapy practice
  • PDF of your reference for your Fast Track Request to Register with CNHC. Click here for the reference form.
  • PDF of your Nutritional Therapy qualification

Upgrade to Full Membership from Student Membership:

  • PDF of your Nutritional Therapy qualification
  • PDF of your current professional indemnity insurance policy for your nutritional therapy practice
  • PDF of your reference for your Fast Track Request to Register with CNHC. Click here for the reference form.
  • PDF of your Nutritional Therapy qualification
  • Any practice details that you wish to list. These will be viewable by the general public.  Note that these can be added or edited at a later stage.
