Location: Working from home (occasional meetings in Central London)
Salary: £5,400 per annum
Hours: Part-time 30 hours/month

BANT is the professional body for Registered Nutritional Therapists. Its primary function is to assist its members in attaining the highest standards of integrity, knowledge, competence and professional practice in order to protect the client’s interest, nutritional therapy and the Registered Nutritional Therapists. Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance, disease prevention, and individual care. General Medical Council has acknowledged the safety and quality of care provided by BANT Registered Nutritional Therapists accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. BANT was established in 1997 as a non-profit organisation. BANT has a governing council of nine people with experience in the scientific, nutrition practice and educational areas of nutrition science.
This position has arisen due to the governing council extending the core team of employees to support BANT’s growing membership and ambitious strategy.
The CoE manager is responsible for developing and managing the growing knowledge base BANT has created for the benefit of its members and external users in relation to evidence-based nutrition interventions and best practice. They are instrumentakl in facilitating learning and knowledge sharing through provision of a range of educational materials and resources. Participate as an active member of the Excellence Steering Group (ESG), contributing to the future direction of BANT Centre of Excellence. The main focus of this role is to provide BANT members with evidence-based nutritional information sources for continued & advanced learning.
What you need
You will need to work from your own home unsupervised and be self-motivated. Attention to detail is paramount within this role. You will be an experienced researcher, analyst or information scientist or educated to Masters’ level. A professional, scholarly & technical understanding within the field of biomedical science or nutrition would be important for this candidate, along with exceptional project management skills and the ability to lead a team of volunteers. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a role where any of the following tasks are an essential part: project management, knowledge management, research or analysis.
